Tsarnai is a young daughter of the Malqir possessed of potent but barely controlled future sight. As a child, her visions were at times so overwhelming that they left her physically ill. Weakened by her condition, Tsarnai instead devoted her energy to honing her mind. She soon grew to be a gifted strategist and tactician, and a talented Kharaqiq player to boot. For a time, it was whispered that she might someday rise to be khatun.Until, that is, a Dotharl assault ended in the slaughter of many of her tribesmen, including her parents and younger brother. Devastated, guilt-ridden, and, at times, blamed for not forseeing the attack, Tsarnai was unable to bear walking amongst those she felt she had failed.So she left.She wandered the Steppe alone until the Noykin found her on the verge of collapse. Following her recovery, they offered her a place among them, and she gladly accepted. She spent the next several years traveling with these new friends. In time, she came to regard them, too, as family.

But then the visions came: the glow of fire through clouds of ash, the screams of dying men, the blazing light of a dying star, and the call of a land across the sea. Bewildered, frightened, yet undeniably intrigued by the most vivid of her visions yet, Tsarnai packed up her things and bid farewell to the Steppe. Her travels took her first to Kugane, then onwards to Eorzea, where she hopes that she might finally find the answers she is seeking.
